A 700-acre urban wildlife refuge located in Northeastern Green Bay near the shores of the Bay of Green Bay is the second largest wildlife rehabilitation program in the state. Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is responsible for the care and well-being of more than 4,500 orphaned or injured animals. Sharing the same name, across the street from the sanctuary is Bay Beach Amusement Park.

Featuring live animal exhibits, educational opportunities, miles of hiking trails that transform into cross country skiing trails in the winter, and a variety of wildlife viewing areas offers something for all members of the family. Take a self-guided bird watching hike and see how many different kinds you can identify using the Wildlife Sanctuary Bird Checklist. Bring your fishing poles to catch trout, bass, or bluegill in the Bay Beach lagoon. There are even nature classes, animal talks, and group activities to learn more about the outdoors. Trails to various buildings and viewing areas are even paved for wheelchair accessibility.

The park has free admission and is open to the public year-round. No matter if you visit in the winter or summer, there is always something fun to do inside or outdoors at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. Hands-on learning and exploration makes this especially welcoming to the curious child.
